Persistent database connections do not work in Django 4.0+ when running under ASGI; this caused a "too many database connections" problem that was difficult for me to find any information on. Since the ticket (https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/33497) is marked as a feature and has been open for almost 2 years, I think it would be worth calling this scenario out in the documentation for anyone else who might hit it.
The documentation in this tree is in plain text files and can be viewed using any text file viewer. It uses `ReST`_ (reStructuredText), and the `Sphinx`_ documentation system. This allows it to be built into other forms for easier viewing and browsing. To create an HTML version of the docs: * Install Sphinx (using ``python -m pip install Sphinx`` or some other method). * In this docs/ directory, type ``make html`` (or ``make.bat html`` on Windows) at a shell prompt.
