171df93170 Fixed #15954 - New IGNORABLE_404_URLS setting that allows more powerful filtering of 404s to ignore 
Thanks to aaugustin for implementing this.

(Technically this doesn't fix the original report, as we've decided against
having *any* default values, but the new feature makes it possible, and the
docs have an example addressing #15954).

afd040d4d3 Updated test assertions that have been deprecated by the move to unittest2. In summary, this means: 
assert_ -> assertTrue
 assertEquals -> assertEqual
 failUnless -> assertTrue

5bc0ec4ec4 Removed all usages of deprecated TestCase methods (self.fail*). This removed most of the Warnings emitted (with -Wall) during the test suite.

30b568226f Fixed #9199 -- We were erroneously only prepending "www" to the domain if we 
also needed to append a slash (when PREPEND_WWW=True).

1e1f7c58bc Fixed #8381 -- Fixed a problem with appending slashes in the common middleware 
when SCRIPT_NAME contains something other than '/'. Patch from jcassee.

Also fixed the middleware tests to work with this patch.

d6d1188ed0 Middleware regression test fixes: 
* Added a models.py file so the tests run.
 * Reset `settings.DEBUG` to `False` at the end of the `test_append_slash_no_redirect_on_POST_in_DEBUG` test so it doesn't bleed over to other tests.
 * Removed unused import.
 * Minor docstring fixes.
